Don’t Know Why

Here I sit wondering why I’m in the state I’m in

analyzing my sorry life and what’s beneath the skin

looking for the reason why, searching for the origin

so I can take a look at my life with a totally different spin

I don’t know why it is just what it is

Soon as I accept this I can experience bliss

I’m gonna stop and take a look at this soul that I am

Nothing I can do about that except strip away the ego’s sham
